When you enter the Gerona airport hotel Vilobi you’re greeted by a friendly atmosphere. The receptionist is very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is right next to the Girona airport and has its own pleasant terrace where you can eat and drink outside.

Hotel Facilities

The hotel has a self-service restaurant. There’s space for 120 guests and the restaurant has a/c and heating. The opening times are:

Bar: 07:00 to 22:30
Lunch:12:30 to 16:00
Dinner: 19:30 to 22:30

There’s also parking for clients, which is free for guests. The car park is under 24 hr surveillance.

There’s Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and there are 30,000m² of green gardens that are very tranquil and shaded with trees.

Other facilities include a laundry service, 24 hour reception and wake-up calls.

There is a conference room that can hold up to 500 people. The hotel also have audio-visual equipment and Wi-Fi internet. The conference room can be adapted to cater for wedding parties and other types of social events.

The rooms are basic, but they all have air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, radio, phone, safe and en-suite bathroom with hairdryer.

The area around the airport consists mainly of fields and a few trees, and the views from the hotel are of the countryside. Some rooms look over towards the airport.

The Gerona airport hotel Vilobi is just 50 metres from Gerona airport, and 8 km from Gerona centre. Inside the airport you’ll find a cashpoint and tourist information desk.

By car it’s 10 to 15 minutes drive into the centre of Gerona where there are more shops, restaurants, bars, the tourist information office and banks.

Even though the hotel is close to the airport, it is closest to the car parks and terminal buildings and not the runway. So, there is little noise from the planes. During the 3 hours I spent in and around the airport and the hotel, I didn’t notice any incoming or outgoing planes.

How To Get From The Airport To The Hotel

You could walk from the airport in 5 minutes. If you were making the hop in a taxi or hire car it would only be a few seconds. You can clearly see the hotel from the airport.

How To Get To The Hotel From Other Directions

From Gerona: By National II (two) towards the Airport Gerona- Costa-Brava.

From Barcelona: By National II (two) towards the Airport Gerona-Costa Brava.

From Eix Transversal: Towards Gerona, and at the very end, Airport Gerona-Costa-Brava.

From the Motorway AP-7: Exit (sortida/salida) 8, towards Airport Gerona-Costa Brava.

From all directions follow signs for the airport.

In A Nutshell

The Gerona airport hotel Vilobi is extremely handy if you want to be near the airport, but still enjoy the comforts of a well equipped hotel. You can still enjoy Gerona centre, as there are buses and taxis that frequently travel there, and there is also car hire at the airport.
