January 1st	Año Nuevo - New Year’s Day. This is a day for family in Spain. Not many things will be open.
January 5th	Parade of the 3 kings through the streets. This day is more a cause for celebration than Christmas day in Spain.
January 6th	3 Reyes – 3 Kings. Epiphany.
3rd – 20th April	Semana de Gastronomia - Gastronomy Week. A chance to taste typical dishes from Girona.
22rd – 25th March	Festival de Teatro - Theatre Festival. A series of shows suitable for all the family.
21st - 24th March	Semana Santa - Easter Week. On Easter Friday there’s a procession.
23rd April	Fiesta de Sant Jorge - Festival of St.George. Flowers and books in the streets.
1st May	Fiesta Del Trabajo - Labour Day
10th - 18th May	Girona, A Time For Flowers. Flower and art exhibition in the streets.
18th May	International Museums Day
21st June	Dia Internacional de Musica - International Music Day. Concerts throughout the town in various genres of music.
24th June	Sant Joan - Firefox night
27th june - 13th July	World Religious Music Festival. Famous musicians from all over the world come to Girona to play.
July	Escènit – Music, theatre shows and dance in the streets. Guided tours and dramatised tours. Also concerts and exhibitions in the museums.
3rd - 6th July	World Expo Model Soldier
July - September	Guided Visit tours "Napoleon had more than a 100 soldiers"
August	Music nigths at el Call
15th August	Asumpcion - Assumption. This is a national holiday.
September	El Año De Masó – The Year Of Masó. Exhibitions and conferences dedicated to the architect Rafael Maso.

13th - 19th October	XX Festival of cinema
October – December	Temporada Alta, Fiesta De Teatro - Theatre Festival. Internacional theatre, music and dance.
October	VAD – Video and digital arts festival.
1st November	Todos Santos - All Saint’s Day
24th Oct - 2nd Nov	Sant Narcis - Girona Fiesta of their Patron Saint, St Narcis. Partying in the street. Religious ceremonies.
December	Feria de Navidad - Christmas Fair
6th December	Dia del Constitucion - Constitution Day
8th December	Dia del Concepcion Inmaculada - Day of the Immaculate Conception
25th December	Navidad - Christmas Day. A day for the family.
26th December	Boxing Day. A day for the family.

The Terrace Bars And Cafes Are Open All Summer. They Make A Pleasant Place To Sit And Listen To The Music Festival
