The Hotel Ciutat Gerona is a very sleek and modern hotel in the centre of Girona. It is on a pedestrian street and so there isn't much noise from traffic. Inside it is very stylish and the reception area also has a lounge and bar area. An interesting feature are several transparent black and white photographs that are placed around the lobby. They give the entryway a very artistic feel.
Hotel Facilities
The hotel has a restaurant that specialises in Mediterranean food. In the lobby there is a bar and the design is very artistic with glass topped tables with white pebbles showing underneath. There are also souvenirs for sale in reception, and newspapers are available in Spanish.

There is one room on the first floor that has been specially designed for disabled use.

There are conference rooms that can hold up to 80 people. Internet facilities are also available and the hotel can provide audio-visual equipment.

The rooms are striking, and very modern. All 44 rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, radio, internet connection, phone, safe, minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities and en-suite bathroom with bathrobes, slippers and hair-dryer with professional diffuser.
There are views from external rooms out to the paved street below.
Hotel Location And Facilities
The Hotel Ciutat Gerona is in the centre of Girona with easy walking access to many shops, bars and restaurants. It is on the opposite side of the river to the historic town, but even so it is only 10 minutes walk. Round the corner from the hotel, in less than 5 minutes walk, there are several terrace bars where you can sit outside. There's also an upmarket-looking falafel restaurant. Also within 5 minutes is the Placa Independencia, where you'll find a taxi rank.
The street where the hotel is located is quiet. Within a 5 minute walk you can also find cash points, restaurants and shops on the Rambla de la Llibertat, which is the main road that runs parallel to the river, at the foot of the historic part of town.
Tourist information is 10 minutes walk from the hotel, over the bridge and to the right on the other side of the river.

Via Taxi: A taxi from Gerona airport to the Hotel Ciutat Gerona will take about 20 minutes and will cost approximately €18.00.
Via Bus: You can take a bus from Gerona airport to the bus station in Gerona. From there you will have to take a taxi for another 5 - 10 minutes. The bus from Gerona airport is the 'Barcelona Bus' and it costs €2.10 for a single ticket.
Via Car: You can drive from Gerona airport to Gerona centre in approximately 20 minutes.
