Page Content
This page will tell you what services the town hall in Girona offers, when it is open and how to find it. The word "Ajuntament" is Catalan for Town Hall. You may also hear people refer to the Town Hall as the 'ayuntamiento' which is in Spanish.
How To Find Girona Town Hall
The ajuntament de Girona is 2 minutes walk from the tourist information office next to the river. When you leave tourist information, turn your back on the river and walk toward the old town. The town hall is in the square and has several big arch ways along the front of the building.
The main entrance is inside an inner courtyard.

Ajuntament De Girona - What Services Does It Offer?
The ajuntament de Girona isn't an historic building, but it does have a theatre attached.
The theatre is inside the Convent of SanDomenec.

This convent is about 5 minutes walk away and is clearly marked on the map available from Tourist Information.
You can still buy the tickets from the box office at the town hall. When you enter the inner patio, under the arch, the ticket office is on your right.
The opening hours vary every month, so contact the town hall first to double check box office opening times.
If you can't get to the box office when it's open, then contact the Reservations Department of the tourist information and ask them to book tickets for you. They speak English, French, German, Castellano and Catalan.
You can contact them at:

You will also see that each list of offices is headed with the word 'pis'. 'pis' is Catalan for 'piso' or 'floor'.
