Hotel Facilities
The hotel offers room service, fax and internet, laundry service, private parking, a restaurant, bar, TV room and bellboys. You can also ask reception to organise a guided tour of the city for you. They are also able to give tourist information and make bookings for other specified excursions.
The internet is Wi-Fi and you have to ask in reception for a code to input into your computer.
Business Facilities
Hotel has 10 conference rooms that can be used for conferences, meetings, or banqueting events. The rooms hold up to 300 people depending on the layout of the tables. The hotel can also provide audio-visual equipment and flip-charts.
The rooms are well-lit furnished in a comfortable and practical style with good lighting.
Rooms
There are 112 double rooms and 2 Junior Suites that are more spacious than the standard rooms and have an additional lounge area. Each room has air-conditioning, heating, interactive satellite TV, radio, direct dial phone, safe, minibar and en-suite bathroom.
External views are across the street outside. Inside the rooms are decorated in blues and yellows, with a cosy and modern feel.
Hotel Location And Facilities

The Melia Hotel is on a main road just a few minutes walk from the train station. The train track runs past the hotel but there isn't any noticeable noise from the trains. The main entrance to the hotel isn't actually on the main road of Calle Barcelona. There is a smaller street off Calle Barcelona that leads down under a bridge, and the main entry is here. On the main road you'll see a sign pointing down this street, and it says 'Melia Hotel'.

The area where the hotel is situated is the commercial district of Gerona. It's 10 km to the airport, and 15 minutes walk into the historic Jewish Quarter. It's 10 minutes drive from the Banyoles lake and 30 minutes drive to the Salvador Dalí Museum. It is also 30 minutes drive from the Costa Brava coastline.
Directly outside in the wall of the hotel there's a cash point. 5 minutes walk towards the centre is El Corte Inglés department store, where in the summer there is an ice-cream stall outside. Across the street from the hotel is a newsagents.
How To Travel From The Airport To The Hotel
Via Taxi: A taxi from Gerona airport to the Hotel Melia Girona will take about 20 minutes.
Taxi Fare: €30.00
Via Bus: You can take a bus from Gerona airport to the bus station in Gerona. From there you will have to take a taxi for another 5 minutes. The bus from Gerona airport is the 'Barcelona Bus'.

Single ticket: €2.75
Via Car: You can drive from Gerona airport to the Melia Hotel in approximately 20 minutes.
