The Hotel Peninsular is in a great location for exploring both the modern and ancient parts of Girona. It is modern, spacious and clean and the staff speak Spanish and English. A useful point to note is that the hotel has two entrances - hence the address that includes two street names.

Hotel Facilities
The hotel has its own bar, and a restaurant where a buffet breakfast is available. They also offer a laundry service and room service. In the lobby area you'll find lots of tourist information leaflets.
Business Facilities
The hotel has several small meeting rooms, and an office for guest use. There are also two larger meeting rooms that will hold up to 80 people. Fax, internet and telephone facilities can also be provided. The rooms are well lit.There is garage parking at an additional charge. Remember to reserve your space in advance.
Facilities For The Disabled
There isn't a specially adapted room, but the hotel does have one room with a wider entry door that can facilitate a wheelchair.
Rooms
The hotel has 48 sound-proofed rooms which have all recently been refurbished. Each room has air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, radio, phone, safe, electric blinds and en-suite bathroom with hairdryer.
The rooms are decorated in light woods and blue carpets, and have a modern design. Views are to the street which on one side of the hotel is lined with trees. The street on the other side is pedestrianised.
Hotel Location And Facilities

The Hotel Peninsular is about 100 metres from the bridge that crosses the river to the historic part of Girona. If you turn left after crossing the bridge, you'll see the Tourist Information Office.
There's a bus stop in the square near the tourist information, and you can take the tourist 'train' (that is actually a car pulling carriages) from the bridge next to the tourist information office. Just 2 minutes walk from the hotel. This train will take you on a guided tour of the old town.
Opposite the hotel is a café-bar with an outdoor terrace and there's also a café next door. Across the road and towards the bridge is a bakery that has a delicious selection of fresh pastries and cakes.
There is a bank on the street that runs parallel to the river, and there are several clothes shops within a 1 minute walk of the hotel.
How To Travel From The Airport To The Hotel
Via Taxi: A taxi from Girona airport to the Hotel Peninsular will take about 20 minutes.

Via Bus: You can take a bus from Girona airport to the bus station in Girona. From there you will have to take a taxi for another 5 minutes. The bus from Girona airport is the 'Barcelona Bus'.
